UK, 90 min

notes to self:
- mostly watched this for broadbent’s performance
(shades of a sense of history). - lindsay duncan was a pleasant surprise;
suddenly desperate to rewatch a year in provence. - samantha morton is perhaps beginning to interest me too,
if only because i keep finding her in odd places,
what with this, enduring love (mcewan adaptation),
and control, which,
by my crushing love for joy division,
i was duty-bound to see.
(i thought it beautifully photographed, but
heartbreakingly flawed and inadequate).
