    1. it’s pretty incredible… good luck finding it for rent, though; almost all of his movies are outrageously rare. i’m not even sure if ‘eden + after’ has yet been released at all (in any official capacity). it’s one i have to own, when it’s available. (although it must exist SOMEwhere, since this high-quality version has suddenly surfaced out of the mists of time… hopefully some dvd releases will finally start appearing, after the director’s death last year.)

      too bad the screenshots don’t adequately capture the dreamlike quality of the film… it was an entirely new experience to watch this crystal-clear copy. definitely one of my all-time favorites – makes me sad to think there’ll never be a fantastic features-packed dvd with commentary..

      1. hopefully they’ll release his works. netflix .. nope. i guess i have a long wait to see the movie. but i can check out La Belle Captive that’s available to get. french directors are my favourite.
